In 1974 John Rooney set up a Veg round (Rooney Veg. Wholesale) delivering Fruit and veg to local shop’s, restaurants etc… Over the next few years the business grew and grew and in 1998 the business moved from being a veg round to a Wholesale fruit and veg distribution company called Rooney Catering Limited. The new company was based in Kildare town and we started doing prepared potatoes and veg in our own factory.
